Can you build for me a completely bespoke Garden Studio?
Yes, we build bespoke Garden Studios tailored to your needs – perfect for work, leisure, or creativity.
Do I need to get planning permission?
Many garden studios fall under permitted development, meaning no planning permission is needed if certain criteria are met. We will build the building per your requirements and advise if permission is required. Maximum height is 2.5 meters if within 2 meters of a boundary.
Usage: For incidental use like a home office or studio, not for living accommodation or commercial purposes.
How long does a garden studio take to build?
The process has few stages, depends on weather also base takes couple of days. Building itself will take longer depending of the size including all interior works we suggest 4 to 6 weeks.
What are my exterior finish options for my Garden studio?
Most popular claddings used is wood claddings cedar, larch, oak as well as Composite maintenance free cladding.
Are your garden buildings warm enough to use in winter?
Yes, they are warm enough to use throughout the year as they are fully insulated and comes with electric wall mounted heater.
Can I have toilet and/or kitchen in my garden studio?
Yes, you can and we also offer plumbing services that are required.
Can I have underfloor heating?
You can have underfloor heating ok good then as an optional extra.
Do I need to remove trees and shrubs before building the project?
No, you do not need to remove trees and shrubs before our survey is done, we will advise if necessary.
Do you connect electrical connection and/ or plumbing to my house?
We complete electrical connections from your house as well as plumbing if needed.
Do your garden rooms come with guarantee?
Yes, our garden rooms come with 10 years structural warranty.
Does garden room add value to your house?
Yes, garden rooms add value by increasing a property's square footage. Experts estimate they can add 1.5 times their cost, depending on build quality. Besides extra space, they enhance the home’s appeal and offer convenience, like serving as a home office or studio. Quality construction is key to maximizing their value.
How close can I build my garden studio to my house and/or fence?
Garden studio can be built as close as 400 mm to any solid obstacle, including your house or fence.
How do I get internet into my garden studio?
We provide professional installation of internet sockets in outbuildings, running high-quality Cat 6 cabling from the outbuilding to the main house to ensure a reliable and efficient connection.
I already have concrete base in place, is it ok?
Yes, your concrete base is acceptable if it is the correct size, free of cracks, and at least 4” deep. However, if the base is too high, the building may exceed 2.5m in height and require planning permission. A design consultant can assess your base and advise if any modifications are necessary.
What groundwork is required before building works can start?
Levelling and clearing are required prior the building works can start.
What is internal finish of the garden studio?
The internal finishes include standard laminate flooring and plastered plasterboard walls with a painted finish. Electrical points are fully installed, connected, and certified with an electrical compliance certificate.
What is your smallest and largest garden studio that you build?
Our smallest garden studio that we build starts at 10 square meters. As for the largest, we don’t have a set limit – we can design and construct garden studios to suit any size and specification you may require, all while ensuring compliance with regulations.
What maintenance is required to look after the cladding?
The maintenance required for cladding depends on the material. Some types need no upkeep at all, while others may require minimal care, such as occasional cleaning or small touch up as coating.
What type of windows and doors I can choose from?
You can choose from variety of options, most popular bi fold, French and sliding doors fully hinged or just top hinged windows tilt and Turn windows any size and colour, opt for energy-efficient glass and frames made from uPVC, aluminium, wood, or composite to suit your preferences.
Can I have air-condition and heating in garden studio?
We do offer Air-condition and heating unit installed in your garden studio as an option.
What is your lead time for the project?
Our lead time for the project depends on our current workload and whether we are in a peak or non-peak period. Typically, for site visits and surveys, it can range from a few days to up to a week. However, we will try to visit as soon as possible once we have a free time slot available, and in some cases, we may even be able to schedule a same-day visit if you reach out to us. We will provide a more specific estimate based on your project's requirements and timing.
Do you offer finance option?
At this time, we do not offer financing options for our garden buildings. We recommend exploring third-party financing providers for assistance. Should this change in the future, we will notify our customers.
Do you have show room and parking access?
Currently, we do not have a showroom. However, we welcome all clients to our office to discuss any questions or projects. We can also show pictures of previous work. Our office is located in a relaxed area surrounded by nature, with plenty of parking spots available and a park nearby for added convenience.
What are your working hours?
Our office working hours are from 9-17.
What sort of accessibility I need to provide to start the building?
The ideal scenario would involve having direct site access. However, if access through the house is required, we can address and discuss this during the site visit.
